ABOUT SJTUFA

Shanghai Jiao Tong University Foundation of America (SJTUFA) is a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of California since 2005. SJTUFA qualifies for US federal tax exemption under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and is classified as a private foundation under IRC Section 509.  SJTUFA tax ID number (EIN) is 76-0802983.

SJTUFA connects the generosity of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University community in the United States with educational opportunities and initiatives at SJTU. Through charitable giving and alumni engagement, we support students, faculty, education, and academic programs that help advance the University’s educational mission.

We also seek to foster enduring connections among SJTU alumni, the University, and communities in the United States, to encourage educational and cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and sharing of knowledge.

We believe that education, knowledge, and meaningful human connections can transcend borders and contribute to a more informed, connected, and collaborative world.
