Founder of SJTUFA

Katherine He founded Shanghai Jiao Tong University Foundation of America (SJTUFA) in 2005 and has been managing it since.  She serves as the President of the volunteer-run non-profit organization.

Katherine graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in 1985 with a BSME degree and received her MSME degree in 1990 from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She retired from Edwards Lifesciences in 2020 after a fulfilling 30-year career in the medical device field, specializing in the development of cutting-edge implantable cardiovascular devices.

Katherine served as president of Chiao Tung University Alumni Association of Southern California (CTUAA-SC) from 2005 to 2007, and president of Chiao Tung University Alumni Association in America (CTUAAA) from 2015 to 2022. She currently serves as the Chairwoman of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Alumni Association of Southern California (SJTUAA-SC) from 2024.
